| In this age of specialization and narrow vision, there are few photographers who span a larger spectrum; people who became photographers to broaden their vision, not restrict it. These photographers bring years of experiences and changes, history if you will, to the table, and call on these experiences to help you realize your vision, your message. Kevin is one of them. Kevin is never far from his classic photography background, the inspiration of Irving Penn’s wonderful portraits, Henri Cartier-Bresson’s decisive moments, Brassai’s unblinking eye and the courage of Diane Arbus. Born sometime before the Internet and accused of being a Luddite, Kevin has allowed himself to be dragged into the 21st century, but instead of fully embracing modern technology, he has developed a way to marry these new tools with old school techniques; whether it is using an old wine press to make color transfers, a toy camera for his decisive portraits, or his digital equipment to capture the in-between moments that define our world. |
